Graça Fonseca

Graça Fonseca holds a Ph.D. in Sociology from the Higher Institute of Labour and Company (ISCTE) (2010), a Master in Sociology from the Faculty of Economics, University of Coimbra (2002) and Law degree from the Faculty of Law, University of Lisbon (1989/1994).
Graça Fonseca was elected Deputy Mayor of Lisbon in 2013, with responsibility for Economy, Education and Innovation.
Prior to this, she was Elected Deputy Mayor of Lisbon in 2009, with responsibility for Economy, Innovation, Modernization and Decentralization; from 2008 to 2009, she was Consultant at the Office of the Secretary of State Assistant to the Prime Minister of the XVII Constitutional Government; Chief of Staff to the Minister of State for the Interior of the XVII Constitutional Government from November 2006 to May 2007; Chief of Staff to the Secretary of State for Justice of the XVII Constitutional Government from March 2005 to November 2006; Advisor of the Ombudsman for the area of the State Administrative Organization (November 2002 to March 2005); Deputy Director of the Office of Policy and Planning, Ministry of Justice (January 2001 to November 2002) and Research Assistant at the Center for Social Studies, Faculty of Economics, University of Coimbra (February 1997 to December 2000).
